 Galehead Hut - White Mountains - 2011

In Bedford Troop 5, you'll find a fun and challenging Boy Scout experience!

Troop 5 is a Boy Scout troop serving youth throughout the greater Bedford Area. The troop meets every Monday night, 6:30 to 8:00 pm on school days. The meetings are held at the Memorial School cafeteria, 55 Old Bedford Road, Bedford, NH.

Community Day of Service - NH Food Bank.

Please consider donating some of your time on Saturday, June 2nd to help the NH Food Bank plant their Community Garden. This is a great opportunity for Scouts and their families (yes-parents are encouraged to participate) to help an organization that in turn helps so many less fortunate around the state.

Permission Slips and Medical Forms

Hello Troop 5,

Starting with the May Bicycle trip to the Cape the Troop will no longer be collecting paper permission slips for each trip. The paper permission slip is being replaced by a combination of an online trip consent form along with a copy of the BSA Medical Record Form that we require to be on file with the Troop.

Summer Camp Corner

NOTE: Final Payment for summer camp(s) is due no later than 5/7/2012. Payment received after that date will result in a $40 camp fee increase! Please get your final payments in! Please see the attachment "Summer Camp Payment Balances as of 4/17/2012" to see your balance owed.

Hello Troop 5 Scouts!

We are adding this new announcement to the website so that you are all aware of merit badges currently being offered. As a reminder, a Scout is encourage to seek out a Merit Badge counselor at anytime - not just when one is being offered. You will need to read and understand the requirements for the merit badge, discuss with a prospective counselor, get a blue card from Mr. Mohnkern and discuss with and get the Scoutmaster's signature on the blue card.
